Welcome to O’s Anchor Bay! We want to continue the theme from our family history of family, friends, and fun with you.  So, let’s start from the beginning and we’ll introduce you to the “Hackers Backers”.  Our parents, Papa and Mama “O” were part of the Hackers Backers (aka friends/family) for over 50 years.  These friends started canoeing the Rifle River around that time and continued that tradition and then in 1993 they invited us into the tradition.  Since that time, we have been coming to the Tawas area enjoying its unbelievable beauty and environment that lends to a family vacation.  What is the Anchor for you ask?  Papa O was known as the "Anchor-Man" on many leagues, mostly bowling and corn hole.  What does the dolphin mean in our logo?  Mama O was a lover of dolphins, as you’ll see the many wind chimes around the property.  Our legacy is their legacy and we wanted to honor all that they brought to us in our lives. 

  

Why this resort? Papa and Mama O have passed and in the summer of 2019, we joined them in in Lake Huron between our property and Woodland Resorts (next door) so this area is very special to us.  So, who are we? We are the descendants of the “O’s” … Steve, Deb and Lisa Ostroski, along with the grandkids, great grandkids and grand-dogs.  We have spent the past 15 years prior to 2020 enjoying this exact vacation… cabins on the lake with the family, friends, and fun.  We’ve laughed, played games, tubed, enjoyed beverages, and of course, had tournaments of corn hole. 

  

What we want for you… is family, friends, and fun in a great environment right on Lake Huron, Michigan that could include: relaxation, tubing, campfires, jet skiing, snowmobiling, ice fishing; basically, fun for all seasons.  We are open 24/7, all year round. 

  

What makes us different?  We care about your comfort and experience. We have 5 luxurious cabins fully furnished and 8 motel style rooms (but honestly, when you’re inside the “motel room” it’s like you’re in a cabin).  Just bring your food, drinks and jovial selves because the stay includes complete kitchenettes, appliances, dinnerware, linens, towels, etc.  And yes, we are pet friendly.
